Hustle is built with safety at its core and uses advanced AI systems to help monitor activity across the platform. This includes Amazon Rekognition, a machine-learning–powered computer vision service from Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI, which is used to evaluate text-based communication.
Rekognition is used to monitor training videos and shared media for unsafe or inappropriate content. It analyzes visual frames within uploaded videos and images to identify predefined categories such as explicit or suggestive content, unsafe imagery, and other policy-relevant signals. In parallel, OpenAI is used to analyze chat messages, comments, and other text-based interactions to help detect grooming behavior, inappropriate language, or unsafe communication patterns. This analysis happens automatically in the background, allowing Hustle to proactively detect content that may require attention without relying solely on manual review or user reporting.
When content is flagged by either system, Hustle creates a clear, time-stamped record tied to the specific video, message, or interaction. Parents are notified when content is flagged by the AI moderation system, ensuring transparency and awareness rather than surprises discovered later.
